No experience is needed to increase your awareness, level of prevention, and basic self defense skills in this six week class. Build your confidence, strength, agility, and endurance while enjoying the subtle fitness benefits of this class. This class meets at PKSA Ann Arbor North (5692 Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Grades: 12th - Adult. Level 1 - 5. Are you ready to take charge of your health and well-being? In this class you will learn the importance of proper form and execution when using free weights. Join our twice weekly Women's Strength Training Class, a transformative program specifically designed to help women of all ages build muscle, increase bone density, and achieve lifelong vitality. As we age, maintaining muscle mass becomes crucial. One of the greatest benefits of strength training for women is its positive impact on bone density. Our classes teach proper form and execution of weight-bearing exercises that are proven to reduce the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Join this supportive and inclusive environment where women can celebrate their bodies and their accomplishments and become the strongest version of themselves! You get a full body workout that tones and strengthens the core, stretches the body, and improves balance and flexibility. Yogilates gives a more balanced and complete workout than other types of fitness classes. With regular practice participants will progress safely and quickly to a stronger, more flexible body and a more relaxed state of being.Yogilates® stimulates and enriches the mind, body, and spirit and is appropriate for people of all ages. This class will be offered simultaneously in person and virtually through Zoom. Please have your own mat and water bottle for this class. Fencing is a great sport for all ages and fitness levels and has been shown to improve critical thinking skills while burning calories. We will have a foil in your hand the first day of class as you learn the basics of the sport! Dress in sports clothing including sneakers and sports pants. Abs & Core for a Strong Back

Grades: 10th - Adult. Level 1 - 4. Most of our movement originates from our central core, even the simple act of picking up a pencil from the floor. Our core is pivotal in connecting and protecting the upper body, lower body, and spine. Keeping the musculature of the core strong is essential to our ability to carry out simple daily tasks with stability and ease. In this class you will work on strengthening your transverse, rectus, and oblique abdominal muscles as well as the glutes, thighs, and hip muscles - the entire pelvic girdle - to help strengthen your back muscles and protect spinal movement. Whether you’re completely new to golf or are just looking to refine your skills, take this opportunity to learn the basics, improve your technique, and enjoy the game. What to bring: Your own clubs (minimum of 2 clubs and 1 putter in a golf bag), comfortable clothing, and athletic footwear. Instructor: Georgetown Country Club Staff. 6 classes. No class 7/6.
